What You Get in My App for $9.99 a Month

The full contents of Play By Dave — daily workouts, nutrition, tracking, messaging — and what it deliberately does not do.

By Dave Vaughan

Ten dollars a month buys a coffee and a tip. It also buys my coaching app. People ask me how that math works, so here is the whole thing, laid out.

One workout a day, built for that day

The app does not hand you a 12-week block and wish you luck. Each day you get a single workout built from what you have: your equipment, your time, your injury history, and what you did yesterday. Skip two days? The next one accounts for that instead of pretending it did not happen.

Nutrition without a spreadsheet

Food logging is there if you want it, but the guidance is written the way I coach in person: a small number of decisions you can repeat, not a macro puzzle you abandon by Thursday.

Tracking that is actually used

Weight, measurements, photos, habits, workout history. The reason to track is not the chart — it is that the next workout is built off it.

Messaging

You can message me. You will always be told whether a reply came from me or from my assistant, because I would rather be honest about that than let you believe you are talking to me at 2am.

What it is not

It is not a live personal training session. It will not correct your knee position in real time. It is not medical advice, and it is not a guarantee. If you need hands-on coaching, that is in-home private training in Las Vegas, and it costs a lot more than ten dollars.

The honest reason it is cheap

I already built the system for my private clients. Serving it to more people costs me very little, and I would rather have thousands of people training well than a few hundred paying premium prices for a worse version of it.

Try it before you pay

Take seven days free, no card. If it is not for you, you have lost nothing but a week of better workouts.
