Online Coaching With Me: How It Actually Works

What online coaching includes, how often we talk, what it costs relative to the app, and who should choose it instead of in-person training.

By Dave Vaughan

Most of the people I coach do not live in Las Vegas. Online coaching is how I work with them, and it is a genuinely different thing from the app.

The app versus coaching

The app gives you a workout every day built by my system. Online coaching gives you the same thing plus me: I look at your week, your check-ins, your video, and I change things because of what I see, not because an algorithm said so.

What is included

  • Programming built around your equipment, schedule and injury history

  • Regular check-ins where we look at what happened, not what was planned

  • Form review from video you send

  • Nutrition guidance adjusted to your real life, travel included

  • Direct messaging for the week-to-week questions

Who it is for

People who have tried training alone and stalled, people coming back from an injury who need someone watching, and people who travel enough that a fixed program never survives.

Who it is not for

If you need hands-on correction — post-surgical, significant pain, or you have never lifted before and want someone physically there — either come see me in Las Vegas or work with a good coach in your city. I will tell you that on the call rather than take your money.

Start where it is cheap

Take seven free days of the app first. You will know within a week whether my style of coaching fits you, and then we can talk about coaching properly.

Ask about online coaching.
